It was a joke, hence the smilie. :)
I think it would be great if people did ask valuations. Maybe we can make a valuation thread. It could be invaluable for everybody and give them the benefit of the other trainers, because while I am comfortable with IM prices, being an IM trainer, I have no idea what prices are for other types of players.
I haven't sold anyone of high value yet. I will be doing so at the end of the season with several players including a magificent and outstanding playmaker.
what's wrong with valuation in the conference? maybe if people bring too many valuation it becomes a problem, but we have low enuf traffic that i dont see valuation threads as not a problem. With strict valuation rules in hattrick conferences, maybe some will come here for valuation and stick around for good.
I was about to come in here and tell you no valuations in the conferences :)

/shameless plug...
Why, the striker market is up? I've got a formidable striker up for 750k right now... he goes off in three days. I'll come back and let you know how much I get for him.
Strikers really do seem to be the hot market financially. Defenders seem to be doing pretty well too I think.
Too many people training PM (high supply) and people diversifying their teams due to HT 6.6.2 (lower demand).
Of course, as a keeper trainer, I'm screwed too......
His formidable PM vs my formidable Forward.
that'll be a good comparison. I bought a formidable IM with pass def for 850K recently.
I switched to scoring traing last yr seeing the glut of PM training around. I sold an ex scorer for 650K already...
Had the same situation earlier in the season for my formidable PM, Wu Sung-Je. Don't remember how much he went for but you can check him in my xfers. He too was XL stamina I believe and no notable secondaries.
