What is the participation like in your leagues? Are people pretty active?
nope
No what is hattrick buddy was your question, hattrick buddy is another hattrick approved help item that helps you to keep track of you team and training, you can see how close many of your players are to increasing their level in whatever skill you decide to train, it also gives you a transfer comparison as well that can be helpful in listing a guy you want to sell.
Another question as I am reading all of the rules... There are so many aspects of management taken into consideration for a game. I was wondering at the end of the game if the overview explains which factors caused a missed opportunity... or which ones created a goal. How extensive is the post game review?
Here is an example of a game, I don't know if I totally understand your question, but I hope posting this will help a little,
3493 spectators had come to Jane Goodall Memorial Stadium this cloudy day. Fighting tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination. The following players had been chosen: Messina - Colby, Romani, Loyd - Crowley, Argibay, Danielsen, Otero, Strömdahl - Parrott, Brown.
Rangers had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. Lineup: Storey - Ouellette, Cockrell, Hamel - Eriz, Gamez, Teuschl, Downs, Frankart - Öhrsjö, MacCabe.
It was an obvious ambition of Rangers to attack on the flanks. Rangers took the lead in the games 1st minute with 0 - 1 after some elegant plays down the middle. Jerry Downs was the scorer. After 14 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for Mats Öhrsjö who increased Rangers´s lead to 0 - 2. Jerry Downs came close to extending the visitors lead as he, completely unmarked in front of the goal, lifted a ball over Peter Messina, hitting the bar. Frank Teuschl of Rangers received a yellow card in the 28:th minute for unsportsmanlike behaviour. Fighting reduced the score in the 28:th minute to 1 - 2 when Trenton Brown got the best of a ball floated in from the left. Some fine manouvering on the left lead to an 35:th minute Rangers goal, making it 1 - 3. Abdi Eriz was noted down as the scorer. The teams went for a half-time break at 1 - 3. Rangers, bringing the final ball possession rate to 51 percent, dominated the battle.
Maurice MacCabe came close to extending the visitors lead as he, completely unmarked in front of the goal, lifted a ball over Peter Messina, hitting the bar. A marvelous Fighting effort to the right resulted in a 70:th minute goal by Trenton Brown, putting the score up to 2 - 3. The home crowd were tearing their hair as Sammy Parrott missed a penalty shot by miles in the 80:th minute. Jerry Downs received some harsh words from his coach after he acted foolishly, probably out of lack of experience, in the 84:th minute and almost caused an opponent to score. With a shot floated in from just outside the penalty area in the 86:th minute, Sammy Parrott of Fighting evened the score to 3 - 3. Mats Öhrsjö knocked one home in the 88:th minute on the counterattack, making the score 3 - 4. The fortyfive minutes were dominated by Rangers, with an impressive 51 percent possession of the ball.
The most dominating Fighting player was without a doubt Trenton Brown. Peter Messina on the other hand, had a terrible day. Most important Rangers player was Mats Öhrsjö. However, Aurélien Frankart made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 3 - 4.
Thanks much
Not only is it sweet, but it updates in real time. I love 'watching' my matches live when I can.
Panther City FC
II.3 - USA
And also, set pieces does not figure into TSI. It is a completely stand alone stat.

Me too.
Just remember to avoid debt. Spend what you can for the future, but don't overspend. If you think you can win games immediately, go for it. If you are playing established teams, you might want to sit back, buy some trainees and wait a season or two for things to turn around. There are newbie threads here that give great advice on getting started.
I've never played Everquest, aka Evercrack, but I think it's safe to say HT is the Everquest of sports games.
kuhn--TSI is not the player's salary--there's a different line in their bio telling you their salary. TSI is an estimation of player value, but it's not their transfer value which (in strict market terms) is whatever you can sell them for. TSI is a number that results from some algorithim that hattrick uses as an estimate of how good a player is. All of the players skills are factored in, as well as their form (and form can make a big difference in TSI). In a general sense, a player with a TSI of 1,000 is regarded as a better player than one with a TSI of 500.
That's not the whole stroy, however. That 1,000 TSI player may have inad passing, inad scoring, and inad winger, while the 500 TSI player may be a solid scorer in wretched form. The solid scorer is probably a better player to have on your team (if/when he's in better form), but the 1,000 TSI player is better "all-around" in terms of raw skills. TSI can help in terms of scouting opponents (especially when they've just bought a player that hasn't played in a recent match), but for the most part it's pretty useless.
Except for keepers. Keepers' TSIs are determined pretty much only from their keeper (and stamina) skill and form (and stamina is pointless for a keeper). If you can find a few keepers that are one or two weeks from popping in skill (i.e., going from passable to solid), you can buy them , train them, and then sell them for some good short term profit. This is called "skilltrading." The hottrick.org website has a good keeper tool that tells you what a keppers's skill is using their TSI and form. I did this with three kepers in the past 6 weeks, and this funded my stadium expansion. Even though a very low solid keeper is only slightly better in game engine terms than a very very high passable one, people will pay $100,000 more for the solid one. Some people lump skilltrading in with daytrading and call it evil. I just wanted a new stadium.......
Thanks much
You get your goalscorers and the minute that they scored, you also get yellow and red cards. Then there is the star ratings that you get, you'll see that once you actually are able to get online. That will show you how good each of your players are star wise. You also get ratings for each part of your team, the attitude you can do is normal, Play it cool or match of the season, and then tactic is like attack on the wings/middle, counter, and pressing
Team Attitude: Normal
Tactic: Attack on wings
Tactic skill: solid
Midfield: wretched (low)
Right Side Defence: weak (low)
Central Defence: poor (high)
Left Side Defence: poor (high)
Right Side Attack: weak (high)
Central Attack: weak (high)
Left Side Attack: inadequate (very low)
Me three. Watching the matches is one of those things that are fun to do on Hattrick. It lends flavor to the game as a whole.

That's pretty sweet. Do you get any stats after a game... I know that you get a bunch with the Supporter subscription?
Thanks much
What is the participation like in your leagues? Are people pretty active?
The lowest division in the US is VI and is pretty sparsely populated by actual users. They tend to be fairly active only because of the person in it. As you move up, you find more and more active series. My own series has 3 of 8 teams that are really not doing anything. Even so, you can make a lot of your own fun. Last season I was in an all-bot division. To entertain myself I wrote lots of press announcements (you have to have supporter to do this, but its so worth it).
Good luck, and don't forget to register in the team registry thread stickied above when you get it.
What do I do first?
I'm trying to figure out who would be my best keeper to start. They are all disastrous or wretched. One person is weak... should I start him?
What is TSI?
Thanks... i can't freaking wait! Something to do at work now ;)
Only as much as you want/let it.
You should check in twice a week. Once to set up your lineup for your league match, then again to set up your friendly/cup match. Both activities do not take but 5-10 minutes if you know your players well enough and their best positions. That would be my suggested minimum. Odds are you'll choose to do it more often.
Would it be better to be in a division where there aren't many active players or not? Am I gonna be overwhelmed right off of the bat?
Also what is HT buddy and Hattrick Assitant Manager?
