Is a National ID necessary?
please help me i will give everyone who gives a reasonable answer a thumbs-up. No. I don't think it's necessary. I don't think a government should ever have that much control over it's people. It's a serious violation of privacy. From what I hear, they would be able to track your location at any time with GPS. What's next, chips in our brains? What do you think George Orwell would say about this? Kurt Vonnegut? Ray Bradbury? If National ID is enacted, that will be the start of a new era that we DO NOT want to enter. That would only be the beginning. National ID is necessary in the welfare point of view, it is convenient to plan and distribution, this also true to maintain law and order, central planning and management activities of a state. But it may hamper privacy and personal independence.Identity less or passport less floating migrants, labour force mobility may suffers. It is illegal and is not a reason to force it on Americans, although some places in Europe do have them. But since you won't be able to do anything without one, it's the time now to write your Congresspersons (both Rep and Dem) to be against this measure.
We have existed this long without them and we don't need the government anymore into our business than they already are.
These cards will have everything on them including our medical histories, prescription history, passport, and ss numbers. If they get stolen, it will be an extreme hassle to replace as it will be difficult to prove who you say you are without them.
What is the worry ? I have no objection of having an official ID.
Other countries have it and have no problems with it.
we already have them with our social security card and drivers licenses that are linked nationally
