We are dominated by fools. We allow ourselves to be manipulated and refuse to think for ourselves. We've created a society where not only are there more uneducated people than educated ones, but where education is actually shunned rather than admired.

Ninety percent of all voters are idiots, and statistically speaking, they're split down the middle between Republicans and Democrats (or whatever any country's two primary power groups are calling themselves this week). It's the remaining ten percent that actually make the decision, ultimately.

If you think this is just an "American" problem... all I can say is that you probably fall in the ninety percent instead of the ten, because you don't get it.

Simply put as far as your referencing is concerned (well-stated, at that); The way I see it is Palin's out because she's a "cover" for the Republican ticket. Her oration skills are excellent considering that her 'heartfelt' and yet powerful speech was written probably at the very least not for herself and about 4 or 5 months prior to her even being a real candidate for the V.P. position!
As far as Obama is concerned? I say "Yes, We Can!"
