No Receipt Of Purchase

  • About a year ago I purchased the 3.6.0 forum version. I'm not all that computer-wise and I didn't save any of the emails at the time of purchase. Heck, I don't even remember if I leased it or bought it. Stoopid, eh? But nowadays I'm a bit smarter. Back then I didn't think about future problems.

    So my first problem is proving to vBulletin that I actually bought the software. Wouldn't my credit card number and name be enough to prove that I purchased it???

    The second problem is what I'm most concerned about. For the last 48 hours no member of my forum (http://www.gypoclimber.com/treehouse.php) can post any attachments.

    Any ideas what's up?

  • OK Steve, I received your email and I wanna renew my license ASAP!

    What's the first step? I don't want an interruption in service.

    I guess I wasn't warned of the expiration 'cuz my email addy was dead? :confused:


  • It won't accept my email address. I'm sure they have my old cox-internet addy which has since changed over to suddenlink.net. Just for laughs I tried and they accepted my old email, but unless it gets forwarded I doubt it'll show up in my new suddenlink.net addy.

    How do I update my email with vBulletin? And I still need a new password.


  • You could start by providing the info I requested in your ticket. Posting here is not going to solve this.

  • My primary concern is to NOT lose my current threads and user's database.

    What do I need to insure that? I'm only a cc number away.


  • You need to send an email to support@vbulletin.com with as much information from when you purchased the license as possible. We do not store credit card information so do not have access to that but name, email address, forum URL, mailing address as well as which payment method you used are all good forms of information to include.

  • OK, I've renewed my license this morning. How long will it take until I can download a patch to upgrade out of 3.6.0? I just tried and it hasn't recognized my renewal yet.
