» Populating new custom user fields
vB2 added custom user fields as a new table.
How can I import my old custom user fields (created in the user table) into the user fields table?I probably was too breif, or not sure if MySQL works in rows, but not in columns? I'm green in SQL.
Here's what I had in vb1, my user table had 3 columns for start weight, current weight anf goal weight (diet forum).
After upgrading to vb2, the columns are still there in the user table, but now vb2 reads such information from userfields table fields1 to filed4, and you can add from control panel customized fields.
Is there an SQL statement I can use from phpMyAdmin, to copy the 3 columns from the user table, to new columns in the userfields table as fields 5-7?After several trials with My...... - 2009-07-04
» Jesus walked on water?
So did he change the composition of the matter or simply make his body less dense to float? The water was actually 2 feet deep. Everybody was drunk and they thought he was walking on top of the water.Quoting Jesus Among Other Gods:
"Think of this for a moment. In eighteen milliliters of water (about two swallow full), there are 6x10^25 molecules of H20. How much is 6x10^25? A stack of five hundred sheets of paper is two to three inches high. How high would the stack be if it had 6x10^25? That stack would reach from the earth to the sun, not once, but more than one million times.
Yet, in about two gulps of water, God has packed that many molecules. The miracle of walking on water is small for Him who created it in the first place."The m...... - 2009-07-04

This is probably the the single hardest question I've ever seen in a forum
You haven't mentioned what platform you are using, which makes this question impossible to answer. ASM is CPU specific, which means that although most opcodes/mnemonics are basically the same, the subtle differences that are there, will most likely kill any none specific implementation.
Roughly:
First you need to figure out a way to get access to the memory dump off the screen. This depends heavily on what platform you are worki...... - 2009-07-04

» Where did the concept of Saints come from?
No where in the Bible are saints or any other beings supposed to be worshiped. In fact Saints don't appear within the Bible unless you are talking about a saint, good person. so where did this all start? why are there statues of them in churches if God doesn't want us to worship other people or make any images upon which to worship either? Exodus 20:4,5 1Cor. 10:14 Psalms 115:4-8No one worships the Saints
The Bible directs us to invoke those in heaven and ask them to pray with us.
Thus in Psalm 103, we pray, "Bless the Lord, O you his angels, you mighty ones who do his word, hearkening to the voice of his word! Bless the Lord, all his hosts, his ministers that do his will!" (Ps. 103:20-21). And in Psalm 148 we pray, "Prai...... - 2009-07-04
» Can I go into Acting/modeling?
I really want to be a model or an actress. I've taken modeling and acting classes, but I'm wondering if I have to right look. Help?!
http://fontcraft.com/caeliria/?page_id=2...First of all you might want to clarify which one you want. Acting and modelling are very different worlds. Acting needs more talent but doesn't matter so much what you look like, modelling is less talent, more looks and confidence. If you want it, don't feel the need to ask people if you should, that's something you decide.you can go into acting/modeling. The "right look" depends on the person who is casting you for work. » On a map a pond is 3.5 cm long. The pond is actually 52.5 m long. What is the ratio in its simplest form?
52.5m / 0.035m = 1500:1scale of 1:15
52.5 / 3.5 = 15=52.5 *100/ 3.51cm = 15m
1:15Matthew's answer is right.
You have cm's and m's: 52.5 m = 52*100 cm because there are 100 cm in a m. 5250 cm. Best convert to cm; numbers easier to handle than converting to m. Then put the larger number over the smaller number. 5250 / 3.5 = 1500.
So the ratio is 1:1500.I'm sorry, but both the other answers are wrong ...
If 52.5 METERS = 3.5 CM then the scale is 1:1500
1cm = 1500cm (15m)
Therefore 3.5cm = 5250cm (52.50m)
When working out a scale ratio you have to get the units the same on both sides.
Hope that helps....... - 2009-07-04

» email addresses and phone numbers for the following executives
I am looking for the contact information (direct extension and direct
email addresses) for:
Kirk Dunn from Bang Networks
Robert Hassett from Turbolinux - don't know if that is the right
spelling
Jodi Uecker_Rust from Oracle
Mike Sutton from Autodeske-mails might be possible, but direct extensions are very hard to come
by. Would an email and a "front office" number be an acceptable
answer? If it is their direct email address and a general number that should
be okay. But I might take kirk dunn off the list and put Rich Lechner
and Mark Shearer from IBM on it.

» Should I ask for references now?
I'm hoping to go to grad school in two or three years, I want to work for a bit and then go. Should I ask my professors for references now? Would they still be good to turn in three years from now? Should i ask for them in a sealed envelope? If you are a good enough student and stand out then they will remember you two or three years from now. I don't think it will be a good idea to ask for them now its not like having sealed transcripts. ok, let' suppose that your prof. remenbers you. Then wouldn't you think that those references are a little bit "expired"; im saying this what would your prof would say about you?: that you were an A student 3 years ago? (he/she has to state the time period you took the class.)

» What happens to my money at Smith Barney if Citi Corp sells the firm?
What will happen to my money at Smith Barney if Citi Corp either sells the brokerage firm or someone buys them out? I have cds there which were due to mature on Dec 22,2008. Will I still be able to get my money then if somthing happens before now and Dec 22,2008.Selling the firm does not change their obligations to you. If they keep them, there is the risk that Citi group will fail, but after Lehman Brothers, the government is not going to take the risk of letting it go down. If it is sold, it will be sold to a bank in a strong position. Either way you are in a pretty sound position.Everything will stay the same except maybe the name of the company holding your money. Bank of America bought out Merrill Lynch but the name of the company w...... - 2009-07-04
» 2006 Mercedes SLK280 any experience with this car?
What are your opinions?I'm a CLK owner so I'm obviously going to hold some bias but I'll try and give a fair review. It's an '06 so it has the new/redesigned SLK body which is pretty sexy. It's a 2 seat roadster if you're into that. Keep in mind that your trunk space is very limited and overall the car is very tiny. If possible I would try and go to a 320 or even a 55 (AMG). The 280 lacks much of the horsepower of the upper models, and it's not like the SLK is known for commanding horsepower to begin with....... - 2009-07-04
» Crumbling cupcakes when I frost?
How do I prevent my cupcakes from crumbling when I frost? I wait a few hours to a night before frosting. I'm using the store bought frosting.
Make sure the cupcakes are cool before frosting.
Add a bit more milk or cream to the frosting as it is probably too thick.
Note: Stir the canned frosting before using. This helps loosen the frosting up so it becomes more spreadable.I never use store bought frosting, I find it too thick to use. I would definitely try and make your own frosting, it's very easy and tastes better than most store bought frostings. Just remember to always cool the cupcakes COMPLETELY before frosting, otherwise the cupcakes will crumble. To make the store bought frosting a little thinner, you can always hea...... - 2009-07-04
» Updated from 2.3 to 3.7; cannot get PM/SEARCH buttons at bottom of posts
Hi, in my old forum, under each post in a thread, we had displayed (for each user if applicable) the Profile button, PM button, search button, website button, add to buddy button, etc. Now, I don't get any of these.
It's not a skin issue, even if I use the default vBulletin 3 template, I still don't get anything like that at the bottom of each post.
Can anyone tell me where is the setting that now controls this? Been unable to locate it. Thanks.click on the user's username, a menu will drop down.Thank you! Wow, that's not obvious at all (at least coming from using 2.3 ;)) - I never would have found that. I'm going to see if I can add a downward pointing triangle button there or something as well, I think my forum members will also nev...... - 2009-07-04

I bought one yesterday, a male, he's a baby, the store man said he'll be a year old in Jan. but there was another, much larger bearded dragon female that was 2 years old, how long until this one grows full size?Hey, Bearded Dragons are a large species measuring a total length of 380-610mm (15-24 ). Hatchlings are very small compared to the adults measuring 75-10mm (3-4 ). Bearded Dragons are long lived and can live up to 10 years in captivity. They are a large species growing to a total length of 15-24 inches when adult.
So about 4 years when they are full grown.

» Rolleiflex question
Rolleiflex users, I just bought a 3.5E (1959-1961) off EBay for 225 USD, it came today. :D Figured out how it works, with a little help for two books for Ian Parker (poorly written IMO) and my Baby-127
I think the ASA setting is just reference to reminded you what film is load in the camera. Its stuck and will not move :(Some of the E model have light meters, and some don't. Mine does, but I don't even know if it works, because I just use my regular hand held meter.
If your's doesnt have a meter (little glass bumps on top of front of camera) then yes, it's just a reminder dial. If yours does have a meter, it's just for setting the meter, and has no other effect on the camera. Thanks Matt, that what I was hoping you would say

» Question about "soft spot" on my sons head, please help?
Hi everyone :)
I have a 6 month old son and when he was born he had a soft spot on top of his head, and eventually it went away. Earlier today my husband was playing with my son and he felt another soft spot on the side of his head, its above his left ear. Im really concerned about it, is this normal??
Serious answers only.
Thanks everyone!!This is completely normal. Those soft spots are called fontanels and they allow for brain growth. The spot you're feeling behind your son's ear is the mastoid fontanelle and it shouldn't close until just before 1 year of age. The soft spot at the top of his head is the anterior fontanelle and it can take up to 2 years to close. The spot on the back of the head is closed at 1 to 2 mont...... - 2009-07-04

» The REAL Global Health Security Issue
is obesity epidemic in developing nations. Contrary to common belief, it's not prevalent in urban centers, it's actually MORE common in the rural countryside.
One in four Chinese 'overweight'.
BBC News Service.

More than 25% of adults in China are now considered overweight or obese, according to new research. The findings, in the journal Health Affairs, blame declining physical activity and a more Western diet. The report warns that obesity rates will double by 2028 if the Chinese government fails to take action. Researchers say what is happening in China could be seen as a marker for what is going to happen in the rest of the developing world.

» Gull Bladder
Is bile collected in the gull bladder?Do you mean the "gall bladder"?yesDear psychopoet-ga;
Thank you for allowing me an opportunity to answer your interesting question.
Yes, much of the bile produced by the liver is stored in the gall
bladder. The gall bladder is a pouch-shaped organ which lies near the
liver. It accepts bile from the liver, and stores it. Bile is a
watery, greenish-yellow fluid produced by the liver and aids in the
digestion of fatty foods. It contains bile salts, bile pigments,
cholesterol and phospholipids. In the gallbladder, the bile is
concentrated by the re-absorption of water from it. When food is
digested, the gallbladder releases bile into the small intestine where
it is able to help dissolve fats.
